[SGVLUG] TWC in Linux?

Well, next week I will probably switch some of my TV setup from Dish Network to 
Time Warnor, switch a phone line from Magic Jack to TWC, and switch my Uverse 
15MB to a TWC 100MB. But more than likely an installer would hardly be able to 
spell Linux, so I must be ready to make any changes in my Debian system.
Seemingly now when this machine boots, it authenticates an AT&T e-amil address, 
which I never use, as I login remotely to another Linux shell. I looked in all 
the usual places such as, .profile, .tcshrc, .alias, and .cshrc, and grub2. I am 
strictly in
console. Some1 else thinks once eithernet cords are changed, it will just work, 
but I am not at all convinced. 
Can some1 please advise what settings I will need to alter at that time? Thanks
