We are seeking a software developer that has experience in a
Linux/Solaris computing environment using languages that include Java,
Perl, C++, PHP, and Python.  Applicants that have experience
operating, maintaining, and developing computer software for the
production, and distribution of automatic real-time data products are
especially desirable for this opportunity.

DUTIES:
As an IT Specialist within the Earthquake Science Center, some of your
specific duties will include:

- Operate, maintain, and develop computer software for the production,
display, and distribution of rapid automatic earthquake products.

- Coordinate and collaborate in the operation and development of core software.

- Coordinate with the development team to insure consistency with
other production sites.

- Be responsible for various software components.

- Be on call 24/7 to respond to system problems and significant earthquakes.
