So, just an idea to toss around here. I've been looking at djb's 
DNSCurve proposal:

I've been playing around with implementing a fairly simple caching DNS 
forwarder that implements DNSCurve. Kinda fun, kinda low-level, and 
potentially kinda large impact. Once I have something remotely useful 
I'll post a path to a Darcs repository.
