This is an example of Microsoft "slick marketing".  By pretending that
what they're giving out is valuable, they hope the recipient won't
notice that what's really happening is that he is getting saddled with
new EULA restrictions.  Before those restrictions, the recipient was
free to program his computer as he saw fit.  Afterwards, certain bit
patterns are forbidden.  The "prize" is really a *penalty*.  An "MS
Hero" is really an "MS Patsy".
