I think I have it figured out: when you log in as an administrator, you
have little "edit" icons added to content items so you can click and
change them.  Unfortunately if there isn't room for the icon it shoves
everything beside it over to the right rather than re-formatting the whole
page to give it room, breaking the rectangle.
