[SGVLUG] OT: JPL presence at Long Beach Comic Expo this weekend

MMMM.
The one event that I went to offered passes online-- and ended before the
posted activity occurred. I did not purchase a ticket, and found that the
"Night of Champions" event was not occurring at all **The vendor had offered
me those online tickets a week prior to the event,** and the place was
deserted, and the event finished, several hours before the advertised
Finale, so buyer beware! If the vendor folds, because of inactivity of the
venue, be SURE you can get refund etc.
The second event was very lovely, although sparsely attended. I think they
struggle to produce revenue for this venue and it may be economic to use it
yourself because it is not in big demand. It was a VERY pretty place.
Cheri
