Hi all,

Sorry for the cross-posting and for this being a little off-topic. I just figured these events would be of interest to many members of the LUG and HAK.

Pasadena is hosting this AxS Festival, which is a collision of art and science. It runs from September 19th to October 5th. It is a two-week festival filled with performances, workshops, and exhibitions all over Pasadena. I think they got some grant money to put this together. It looks really cool, so I encourage you to visit their website and see what exhibits or events might interest you. Some of the events are ticketed and some of the workshops, which are being offered by the art collective Machine Project, cost money. But there is a lot out there that is free.

You can also check out this PDF, if the website starts driving you crazy. It won't tell you which events are ticketed, but at least you will have a better idea of what the exhibits and events are about.

Also, I wanted to let people know that the Jet Propulsion Laboratory Open House will be on October 11th and 12th this year. It's at a different time of year than usual, so it's easy to miss. It runs from 9am to 4pm. I really hope it'll be cooler that weekend than it's been the past couple of weeks.
