[SGVLUG] Bad Ethernet patch cable, but passed a DC cable tester

I'm reminded of the time back in the 60's when I had a problem with my
PDP-8 and tracked it down to a particular trace on a printed circuit
board.  The trace passed DC just fine, but the 100-ns pulse it was
supposed to carry was completely blocked.  I lived in Santa Monica at
the time, and the salt air had corroded the bare copper too thin.  A
simple solder job fixed the computer.
