Hi everyone,

Drupal Design Camp LA 2012 is coming up this Friday, Saturday & Sunday
(October 12, 13 & 14) and is at Droplabs in Downtown Los Angeles. Join us!

This event is part of the larger Design for Drupal movement, which
brings together the larger design community with Drupal engineers,
developers, themers and usability specialists. Our goal is to make
Drupal more friendly and approachable, enjoy each others company with
presentations, breakout sessions, parties and code sprints, and work
together towards making Drupal sites usable and beautiful.

We have 3 days of activities:

  * Friday: Free Drupal training (10am-2pm); Drupal job fair (2-4pm);
    Pre-Camp Party (Sundown)
  * Saturday: Design Camp, Presentations & Breakout Sessions (10am-5pm);
    After Party (Sundown)
  * Sunday: Community Barn Raising & Code Sprint on Drupal 8's New Theme
    System

The barn raising on Sunday will benefit a local 501c3 non-profit. It's a
teach-and-learn opportunity where we'll be rolling up our sleeves,
building a website from scratch, all the while working teaching and
learning from one another and giving the non-profit a head start with
their new website!

Attendance is free, but registration is required due to limited space at
our venue. Sign up by registering at at http://www.ddcla.org/2012 and be
sure to select your sessions and propose your own! Session topics at
this event include web typography, usability, design, theming,
accessibility, mobile development, and the future of frontend Drupal in
Drupal 8.
