For those who may not have heard of it, The Super Dimensional Fortress
(sdf.org) is what I can best describe succinctly as a *nix community
that is a combination of services and social interaction.

What many people may know sdf.org as is freeshell.org, a place where you
can get a shell account to SSH into. But sdf.org is so much more than
that. They provide a ton of services at pretty decent prices:
* Shell access (of course)
* Web hosting
* Mail hosting
* VPS containers
* VOIP
* DSL
* and much more

Its actually pretty impressive the amount of things they have available
to different member levels.

Also impressive is that they are celebrating 25 years in 2012. Thats
right, they have been around since 1987 in one form or another.

There is a strong social aspect that includes shell based software that
has been in use since 1987. For example the bboard command is a text
based bulletin board that is still very active. They also run their own
Jabber server, Status.net installation, Diaspora instance, and Minecraft
server.

Hopefully this message got through your spam filter and doesn't seem too
much like a solicitation.

Also, it would be nice to know if there are any other SDF members among
the SGVLUG members.
