Wow, this video is pretty impressive.  

Canonical has Ubuntu running on a cell phone along side Android.  Your
phone still acts as an Android phone, but when you dock your phone to an
attached monitor, mouse, keyboard, then you get a full Unity desktop
running from your phone on the monitor.  They've even integrated Android
notifications, text messaging, android settings, and the ability to run
Android apps under the Ubuntu desktop.
