Everbridge,  the world's recognized leader in incident notification systems, is seeking a creative and dynamic Sr. Applications Operations Engineer for its Software Delivery team to be responsible for implementing and managing customer-facing infrastructure in a dynamic, high-performance production environment that includes:
      - Red Hat Linux operating systems         - J2EE application servers
- Oracle 10g database servers                - Apache web servers
- GIS application servers                          - DNS, SMTP, monitoring, etc.
      - Configuration Management                    - Automation and Internal Tooling

 The ideal candidate will possess:

6 years of experience in systems administration in a Linux production environment.
Strong capacity planning skills, including the ability to assess production performance metrics and tune or scale as needed to meet SLA.
Ability to work in cross functional teams and to provide necessary data to help the team rapidly resolve overall system performance issues.
 Understanding of the key role of DevOps in an organization.
 Experience in the following is required:
Support of 3-tiered 24/7/365 high-availability website environments.
Configuration and maintenance of common applications such as Apache, memcached, Squid, MySQL, NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, and SNMP.
 Administration of SAN, including configuration, provisioning, performance and capacity management, and monitoring.
 Virtualization concepts and best practices (VMware).
 Cloud Computing (yaws, openstack, rackspace cloud, etc.).
 Apache HTTP server and Java EE application server (i.e., WebLogic, JBoss).
Scripting in one of the following languages: Shell, Python, Perl, Bash
Self-guided triage and follow-through skills to best respond to assigned duties.
Large-scale backup solutions and storage technologies.
Linux administration of 200+ servers on Enterprise level.
Middle-Tier Administration as well as Application Support and deployment.
Administration of Virtualized infrastructure for non-production/production environments.
Configuration Management tool for environment buildouts (i.e. Cobbler, Kickstart, Puppet, Cfengine).
Automation of tools for monitoring, process and documentations.
Production Operations tier-3 support and 24/7 On-Call rotation.
RHEL3,4,5; CentOS 4/5; VMWare ESXi; SAN (Hitachi, EMC), F5, OAS, Tomcat, Apache, Oracle, MySQL, BIND, Postfix, Puppet, Netbackup, OEM, Nagios, SVN, Luntbuild, Shell Scripting.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:
Oracle application servers
Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
Load balancing technologies and large-scale web server farms
SAMBA, DNS, scripting experience to automate administrative tasks
Sendmail, Postfix, Apache Tomcat, BIND, MySQL, Subversion (SVN)
Telephony systems, IVR applications
Multi-terabyte SAN (storage area network) installations
 Windows server experience
System security techniques and best practices
