[SGVLUG] Any AVR user groups in LA?

I took one of the Arduino class offered by la.thepublicschool.org on electro-mechanism http://la.thepublicschool.org/class/233 and it was a good learning experience for me, as someone not too familiar with electronics. I was quite surprised by how easily I was able to get Arduino software running on Debian. Plug it in via the usb and it works like magic.

Anyway for anyone who may be interested there's another class on audio coming up,

http://la.thepublicschool.org/class/1341

and I think there will be a few more project based Arduino classes in the future.

If I want to setup a small electronic workshop does anyone know where I can buy some used basic equipments like oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies?

Anyway, thanks for the info on micro-controller..

John
