Maybe, but your evidence for this is pretty slim, I'd say.

Are you booting Fedora straight into graphics mode (X Windows)?  Does
the monitor also go to sleep if you boot instead into some console
mode?

Do you have a Linux live system such as Knoppix or Ubuntu or tomsrtbt
that you could try?  That would get Fedora out of the picture.

Remember X has a screen-blank cycle time.  If it somehow gets set to a
short nonzero time, the screen will go blank shortly after the last
input event.  See xset(1).
