[SGVLUG] Linux on Windows Domains

Here's a topic I could really use some group opinions on. What's the best
way to join a Linux box to a Windows AD domain so that the users (who are
stuck with Windows machines) can access it in the most seamless fashion? A
factor would be eliminating a second login or the need for duplicate
accounts (Unix and AD) on a box serving as an application or mail server or
a file server or a file server where AD authentication (Kerberos) would be
involved. I've been able to wing it with Samba and duplicate accounts, and
that's been OK to work with but it feels like there's got to be a better way
to integrate Linux into the Win domain so that changes made in the active
directory affect the users, groups, and maybe even permissions on the linux
box. Then again that may be asking too much.

Thanks,

-Edgar
