SGVLUG meeting Thu 4/9 7-9pm
107 Downs at Caltech Campus in Pasadena CA
http://www.sgvlug.org/

We've got a great topic and speaker lined up,
even if you are currently employed, Todd
will bring a number of insightful and useful
information for you. I highly recommend
joining us.

Remember to join us afterwards at BC for
some food and drinks as we continue the
discussions. ( don't worry we get separate
checks ;)

Topic: "Job Hunting in Today's Tough Market",
with a focus on those with Open Source / Linux
related skills.

Todd Cranston-Cuebas has 10+ years of experience in recruitment including a short sting as an outside agency recruiter. Most of his career he has acted as the on-site recruiter, or IT recruitment manager, at companies such as Ticketmaster, Google, and Warner Bros. Todd is pleased to speak to the SGVLUG on the general topic of "Job Hunting in Today's Tough Market" with a special emphasis on how the current market differs from the dot-com bomb, how the market may impact open-source professionals in particular, and ways to perhaps get a leg up on the competition for "the job." Todd is speaking to us not as a representative of any employer or organization but more to share his experience and insights with friends ;)

See you thur 4/9!
