below). Primary job responsibilities will be installation and
configuration of new server equipment as well as the occasional
maintenance of existing systems. 95+% Linux based with a mix of
Windows, BSD and Solaris. Our offices are in One Wilshire and
interviews are being scheduled for Thursday/Friday this week.

Datacenter Technician

A leading Network and Datacenter operator is looking for a contractor
local to Downtown Los Angeles, to perform equipment maintenance and be
our remote hands and eyes.

Maintenance consists of racking new equipment / servers (and
occasional replacement of existing equipment / servers), ethernet /
power cable wiring, reseating PC components, and inserting a CD.

A cellular telephone, driver's license or other form of Government
issued identification, reliable transportation, PC monitor and
keyboard, screwdriver and the capacity to lift 50 pounds are required,
and daytime (9 am - 5 pm, M-F) availability are required.

Having a laptop is not required, but it is a big plus.

This is intermittent, occasional part-time work, not a full-time, 40
hour a week position.
