Parking will be validated by our awesome host Gorilla Nation. Thank you very
much to Brad Littlefield for his incredibly gracious offer to host LiLAX.

Afterwards we will head to lunch. Any suggestions for a lunch place are
welcome.


Topic Overview/Speaker BIO:

Donna Charles-Schrokosch is the founder and chair of the non-profit
organization Hawthorne Center for Innovation,  http://www.hawcenter.org/
located in the Fontana area of the Inland Empire. The Center concentrates on
generating innovation in the sciences and humanities and is currently
supporting several disruptive technologies under development in the areas,
among others, of sensor tech, robotics, computer design, clean energy, and
3D web development.

At the Center, for the last year, Donna has been teaching, while learning,
for free, the open source 3-D object creation application Blender -- with
capabilities similar to proprietary products such as 3D Studio Max,
Lightwave, and Maya. www.blender.org. Her intention is to attract enough
kids to build a "kid farm" of young people who will have the time and
inclination to contribute to populating virtual worlds in Croquet with
historical figures and scenes--while learning vaulable skill sets for
possible employment in multi-media ventures.
