As a result of my recent inquiry on this forum, I am now the proud
owner of an IBM ThinkPad laptop computer. Thanks again to the alert
reader who responded!

The machine had a small Linux on it when I acquired it, and I have now
built a nice Debian on it, tailored to my application.

The ThinkPad is a physically beautiful box, marred only by that
"Designed for Microsoft" label on its face. It's sad that once-proud
IBM had to stoop to that. (Fortunately, they seem to be on a path to
recovery.)

I'd like to remove that label without damaging the finish of the box.
Anybody know how it's bonded or how it can be removed? Soluble
adhesive? Nice would be to remove it intact so that it can be bonded
in a more fitting place, such as the bottom of some public urinal.

Thanks!
