<DIV>I think your package looks fine the way it is laid out. Your using
autotools. Its okay not to understand it completely, because I don't know
anyone who does. I tried compiling it and it failed to find SDL, although I
have it installed. So yeah its not completely right. You might want to
consider CMake. You might find it easier to set up than autotools. Its my
preferred build system and I believe its growing more popular. It has a bunch
of stuff built in, such as a FindSDL routine. And there are plenty of modules
out there for finding other packages.<BR></DIV>

<DIV>Hi James,<BR></DIV>
<DIV>I didn\'t have in mind licensing or legal questions. More like a look
at the GNU build system. Could look at it from the consumer\'s point of
view, e.g. \"What happens when I do ./configure, make, make install?\" Or
from the creators\': \"OK, I have a working app, now how do I use the
autotools to create a publishable package?\" My own feeble attempt at this
is online at www.desk-net.net (link at bottom of the page.) It works, kind
of, but doesn\'t seem to be quite right. I don\'t believe I\'ve ever heard a
presentation on how to do this.<BR></DIV>

<DIV>Hi all,<BR></DIV>
<DIV>We are expecting to meet at OpenX for February through April,<BR></DIV>
<DIV>because<BR></DIV>
<DIV>that was the preference of our speakers. OpenX is a fabulous
and<BR></DIV>
<DIV>generous host with a large meeting space, good wifi and a great
A/V<BR></DIV>
<DIV>system.<BR></DIV>
<DIV>I actually really enjoy meeting at Du-Par\'s, and want to go
back<BR></DIV>
<DIV>there in May. It\'s relaxing and great for socializing with
fellow<BR></DIV>
<DIV>LUG<BR></DIV>
<DIV>members. At the last LUG, some of the guys were still talking
till<BR></DIV>
<DIV>4am.<BR></DIV>
<DIV>I am soliciting short talks that would appeal to the group in<BR></DIV>
<DIV>general. For example, Jess did this great overview on Linux
Desktop<BR></DIV>
<DIV>environments a few meetings ago, that was a great hit. <BR></DIV>
<DIV>Please come up with ideas of a talk you could give, or a talk
you<BR></DIV>
<DIV>would like to hear.<BR></DIV>
