I'm a little surprised that no one has mentioned this. There is a virtual developer conference going on now through Dec 4th called hack.summit(). A lot of big-name programmers will be giving talks throughout the day. The theme is to help mentor other programmers.<br clear="none">

It is being held via Crowdcast and uses Google Hangouts for chat. It will be Dec 1st (today) through Dec 4th, from 9am to 6pm PST. You need to register to get a ticket id you use to access Crowdcast. Once you do, they will prompt you to login with Twitter, Facebook, or Google+. You can view the sessions live. Recordings will be available later, though I am not sure how much later.<br clear="none">

Registration asks either for a promo code, a donation to one of their coding charities, or promotion via social media like Twitter.<br clear="none">
