<div dir="ltr"><div>TL;DR: electronics prototype for a furniture company ($).</div><div><br></div>This came through our Meetup (Pasadena Robotics). I checked with James if it was alright to post here. I don't have any time for consulting, so I'm passing the info along; Colin mentioned that he has a budget for the project.<div>
<br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div>-Cisco<br><div><div><br></div><div>From: "Colin Sims" <<a href="mailto:colinsims@yahoo.com">colinsims@yahoo.com</a>></div><div><div>I am a new member of the group and I am currently building several prototypes of sensor equipped furniture and I need help completing them. My background is media production anad design so embedded hardware is completely new for me. I hired an engineering student a few months ago and we quickly hit the ceiling of his skillset leaving the project unfinished. I am very interested in learning more and building a team to eventually sell these devices. I would like to describe one of my projects and see if you can help me with additional resources or people to help push the project forward. Thank you. -Colin Sims <span id="gc-number-55" class="" title="Call with Google Voice"><span id="gc-number-56" class="" title="Call with Google Voice">(323) 708-8033</span></span> </div>
<div><br></div><div>Prototype #1 Measuring Desk </div><div>An electric sit/stand workstation equipped with a small touchscreen that asks the user several questions and then will move to the appropriate height for them. In addition, the system will advise the user as to the appropriate height of the monitor and chair. The use case of this device is anywhere a workstation is shared by several people. A future feature I would like to add is an RFID reader so the system could be activated by a user's badge or passive RFID keychain. </div>
<div>Hardware: </div><div>Desk- Raspberry Pi, Arduino Mega, 2 Ultrasonic Sensors, 1 PIR Sensor, </div><div>Chair - Arduino Uno, Bluetooth 4.0 shield, 1 Ultrasonic Sensor. LEDs </div><div>Interface -LCD display, 4 Buttons, LEDs (Will upgrade to touchscreen when prototype is working) </div>
<div><br></div><div>The project is incomplete and I do have a small budget as an incentive to find the right person. Please let me know if anyone in the group would have the skills to help me. -Thanksı</div><div><div dir="ltr">
