</div>I'm typing this from a netbook (Dell Latitude 2120) with an SSD<br>
(Samsung, I replaced the original spinning disk) running Debian<br>
Wheezy (but I also have Ubuntu and Arch partitions). It boots much<br>
faster. Can't say I've noticed much difference in anything else;<br>
maybe it's a tiny bit quieter. I'd hoped for better battery life<br>
(which is lousy on this model) but I'm not convinced it changed much.<br>
I do like never worrying about what might happen if I pick the<br>
laptop up and walk with it, turn it upside down or whatever while<br>
it's in the middle of a compile, but mostly the faster boot has been<br>
the big win.<br>
