<p>How is it possible that we get singled out? Are any other industries hit with something similar? Private businesses should be able to pay us as they please. Sounds like someone got burned and is trying to make it illegal to happen again. Absurd and disturbing. </p>

Here's a nasty little bill that is winding it's way through Congress. In my brief read, it seems to want to kill overtime for exempt IT professionals that are salaried above $50K per year. It will kill cases of IT pros suing for back wages or overtime pay.<div>
