I have an external USB hard drive (Lacie) that is not
stable.

I replaced the hard drive inside, but I am still getting the

Under Windoze it does not format. I can format it NTFS
under Linux.

When I move the drive back to Windoze I keep getting
‘delayed write failure’s.

mechanisms) and I’m seeing the same problems.
