<div dir="ltr">If he's on Windows XP or Vista and he doesn't want to/can't build a new Linux machine, get the VMWare Player and a built Linux distro from their site. I'd also give him a project to work on like installing Tomkat or PHP.<br>

I have a friend that is out on disability and wants to learn Linux admin on the cheep. I told him about PCC and UCLA but he said it couldn't be "formal" training. What I know came from books and on the job so I'm no help. Any ideas??<br>
