[SGVLUG] Can I Hear An Indication if the Monitor is on or off?

Thanks so much Jess. Seems xset won't work as I am only running in console mode, 
but I did install ddccontrol.
You asked about my goal? Well, sometimes a sighted person will forget to turn 
off the monitor when they leave-and-with the possible exception of feeling 
warmth on the screen, I wouldn't know.
You did a much better job searching this topic than I did. Looks like stack 
exchange is so helpful, it should automaticly come up in duckduckgo. Thanks
