Yeah, and I'm getting disgusted too.

I use it only for domain registration, not hosting like you.  But they
sent an email a few days ago saying they won't accept personal checks
after Oct 1 to replenish their "Good as Gold" (prepay) account.  The
option to prepay by money order was the reason I went with Godaddy in
the first place.  The email does not mention money orders.

The email also says that accounts that haven't had activity for 3 years
will have unused prepayments returned.  That's me -- I maxed my forward
renewal nearly a decade ago and would do the same again when it expires
in 2018 if it weren't for these new developments.
