Sounds a little dicey, especially since I'd probably have them help
install Linux. I have had fits with WiFi before myself, so apparently am
no expert at that.

That brings up an interesting point. One possible activity is writing
Minecraft plugins. Minecraft isn't the most graphically intense game out
there, but I think it does take a little horsepower to keep the fog
pushed back. It's around $700 on Amazon and I don't know how much I can
justify spending, but this is a topic I need to think about.

Otherwise, at a glance it seems like a perfectly reasonable machine.
