Reminder that there is a LUG meeting tonight.
Work is pretty busy so I haven't really been on top of my emails. If you didn't get an answer from me, you may have to email me again.
I will come with my usual gear. I'll probably be pretty tired, so I will leave the rest in the hands of the LUG.
Richard, would you be able to call the restaurant and make sure they set up the Barrymore room the way they normally do for us? This usually involves moving a bunch of the wingback chairs to one side of the room, set up the tables in the middle and bring in normal chairs.
Ed, we could use the PA, if you don't mind bringing it.
I think Jess is going to handle A/V and possibly try to record the talk, if Ray doesn't mind.
We need someone to emcee and do the usual Linux in the news.
Lan
PS I did make it clear that we tend to have 20-30+ people and the night manager said he would try to find an appropriate server for us.

It would be a nice courtesy to let the Dupar's manger know in advance, but it would be up to them how they handle things and they would have to pay an additional person for an entire shift which may not work out for them.
What may work better for Dupar's is during that time period to have other server's "double down" with their regular tables and some of our group's peopleand would be nice to suggest to them.
Alerting the manager would help with their scheduling to be able to chose who to schedule that is able to deal with lots of customers and tables or who to chose to "double down" during that time period. Thanks,

Should I call Du-par's in advance to see if they can perhaps provide an
additional server for that shift?
I was talking about the number of servers with Margo a while back, and
while it definitely stretches her to the limits she's quite fine with
it. But she is remarkable that way, and if there's a chance our RSVP
list may get beyond 30 I'd hate to see our server become overwhelmed.
PS: Thanks for setting up the meeting. Great topic, looking forward to it.
