Website Development & Content Support – WordPress

3-6 Months Contract, Rate: DOE (Depending on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The City of Pasadena has undertaken the task of updating its website 
towards a more user friendly and mobile accessible utility for its 
citizens and visitors.  Candidate will:

·         Gather and manage requirements for web for development 
projects, including analysis, adapting concepts, style, and content 
within established templates and guidelines, wire framing and 
presentation for the City of Pasadena department websites.

·         Interface and work collaboratively with city departments (City 
Manager, Public Works, etc.) to edit and update websites using WordPress 
and HTML5 using responsive design.

·         Work directly with developers, designers, and project 
management staff to maintain standards with regard to new development 
including task and timeline management.

·         Assess and resolve any technical display challenges in order 
to facilitate content publishing. Provide production and post-production 
support, copy editing, proofing, quality assurance for all developed 
products. Conduct training courses for staff and clients. Additionally, 
provide additional support and updates after website deployments.

·         Must be able to work collaboratively, efficiently, and 
accurately within a small team environment and demonstrate good 
communication.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

·         Working knowledge of WordPress
·         HTML5
·         UX/UI Sensibilities
·         Photoshop
·         Some experience in task management and development tools 
(MockFlow, Trello, etc.)


WordPress website developer - HTML5, CSS3, JQuery.

3-6 Months Contract, Rate: DOE (Depending on experience)

Job Description:

Designs and develops intuitive Web/Mobile website using WordPress, 
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery. Develops images and icons with Adobe 
Photoshop.

·         Should possess a clean, modern design sensibility, with 
user-centered focus

·         Strong understanding of responsive web design

·         Should have a command of typography, color, composition and design

·         Proficient in WordPress, Bootstrap, CSS 3, HTML 5, 
JavaScript, jQuery, PHP

·         Strong Adobe Photoshop skills

·         Ability to build mock-ups that can be easily translated into 
real web applications; create standards-compliant, cross-browser 
compatible HTML & CS; create web graphics, user interfaces, icons, style 
sheets, templates, and layouts for use in product development websites

·         Excellent analytical and verbal communications skills required.

·         Experience with the Bootstrap framework is highly desirable.
