I have a hard of enough time just trying to find a book store, let
alone the tech section ;-)

And as for book suggestion, take a look at "LINUX: Rute User's
Tutorial and Exposition" .The book is very old, but the online version
is free(and there are pdf's of it around also) and there still is a
lot of relevant stuff in it.
