Ouch, indeed that Wells Fargo Building charges way too much to park..

If you look a few blocks away you can probably find parking for  $6-8 iirc

Microsoft has been pushing hard to get people to write apps with plenty of free workshops. In fact there is one coming up on Tuesday at their L.A. office (in the Wells Fargo Building; it costs $40/day to park there so they recommend Joe's Auto Parks instead, or you could take public transit) that will be focused on HTML5 apps. I went there for an IT camp a few weeks ago and it was apparent that Microsoft spends a lot more money on devs than on IT people. They were kind enough to let us have the Panera sandwiches and the cookies and pizza that were left over.

One thing I heard when I was in the room to get some food. There will be no 99 cent apps. Everything will sell for at least $1.49.

If you buy Windows 8, the only place you will be able to download software that integrates with its new user interface will be the official Windows Store. Microsoft will have complete control over what software will be allowed there."
