Subject: [SGVLUG] Reviving old laptops... anyone have spare pc133 sodimm ram?

I'm cleaning out my closet, and found two old laptops
that might do as sensor network nodes.

One's not so bad - a compaq presario 4000 with cd-rom
drive and 128MB - and after working around
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377242
it looks like ubuntu 12.04 alternate install might eventually
finish :-)

The other is an ancient Dell 4000 laptop with a screen
problem and no cd-rom driver; plugging in an external
monitor lets me see it boot to Win98.
But it only has 32MB of RAM.  I see that one can buy
256MB dimms that should work from
http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?p=P133SO256S
for $14, so I may do that sometime.

But if anyone here has a spare pc133 sodimm 256MB 32 x 64
they'd be willing to part with, maybe I could offer it a new home...

I have lots of other, somewhat more recent ram I could trade for, too.
