Killfile? "signal to noise ratio". Love it! :)
I can easily tell now. Usually those templated recruiter emails, they goes to "trash" right away. "Dear Confidental" or "Dear [first_name]". Waste of my time to even reply to them. I had another recruiter that would email me every few weeks for the same job regardless of how many emails I send back. It got to the point where I flat out wrote back "are you even alive? a human on the other end?" and started a counter at how many times he been emailing me for the past x weeks asking for the same job. A lot of them don't even bother to read your resume online. They look for keywords before emailing you. Maybe you can try an experiment. Write somewhere on your resume that recruiters need to mention a keyword in order to get a response. You'll be amazed how many (or how little) you'll get from that. :)

hmmm...
dealing with a number of rather aggressive indian recruiters
I am wondering if it is time to flip this around and have the recruiters
get prequalified somehow before talking to us.
I wonder what I can do to solve some of the signal to noise issues.
What do you guys think?
thanks
matti

How about Oxford International? I seem to get pinged by them every so often.
