Think he was talking in the past-tense, Matt. I recall Sony marketing the
PS3 as a device that geeks could run Linux on (not natively, I remember now,
duh!) so lotsa Linux geeks went out & bought 'em & did just that. Then they
changed their stance w/one of their updates & pissed off a buncha Linux
geeks who'd done just that. Now, as you've said, they prohibit that but I've
heard you can still do it as long as you don't get that update (dont recall
which one)...or maybe it's too late & you had to do it before that one
update. Personally, I recall thinking it a great idea to make it your entire
entertainment ctr.
