A few years ago Erik gave us a tour of a supercomputer cluster for
LIGO, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory, at
Caltech.  Tonight, 10/29, Kip Thorne, cofounder of LIGO will present a
lecture called "The Warped Side of the Universe" in Beckman Auditorium
starting at 8 pm.  His presentations on gravity, black holes,
relativity, etc have been included in PBS and BBC shows.
