Thanks to everyone who came to my presentation at the April LUG meeting
on my 8-bit microcontroller project, meant to bring Wikipedia to the
TV screens of the developing world.

A video of the presentation and my slides are now available at
http://humaneinfo.com

This is a pretty low quality video - a higher quality version should be
available in the next few weeks.

There is a lot to do on this project. If anyone is interested in
lending a hand and learning a bit I'd be happy to loan out one of the
prototypes.

Tasks include getting USB working, testing the device with the Arduino
IDE, writing an e-book reader, making AM FORTH (or another interpreter)
run, proving audio works, playing with the IR xmit/rcvr, language
support, etc. All in good fun.

And again, any contacts in the NGO/non-profit/Educational world who could help me to flesh out the field are appreciated.

thanks,
braddock
