Dell's promos and pricing..

It will drive you a bit batty attempting
to figure out the sanity of some of Dell's
offers.

Here's what I noticed:

1) depending on which way you got to a particular
system seems to often affect the deal.
lesson - try multiple ways... also
try to clear out your cookies and try
again.. ( or so I'd swear it seems
to make a difference sometimes. )

2) some deals last for a long time
( typically not really a great deal )

3) some deals last very very short,
perhaps even just hours.
( like the ones you see on the front
page of slickdeals.net )

4) Pay close attention to the details,
as sometimes the line items parts are
very different (CDrom reader vs DVD burner)

5) Print/Save any deals you may be interested
in right away, sometimes the sales rep
can sell it to you even after a deal
officially "closes" .. sometimes.

for schools there maybe a special program,
you want to search and see... tho that
may not be the best price.

btw - a refurb atom netbook for <$200
