The "sparkfun" site is pretty neat -- dev types might want to check our the "arduino" (?) and "lilly pad" project kits -- open source /HARDWARE/ gadget-stuff! :)

Speaking of the "dev" sig -- what is the interest level nowadays? The last few times have been myself and my two buddies: "ME" and "I"... (and even I didn't make it last time...)

I do have another site for the special-interest group - much larger facility, certainly more "power" outlets available, and WIRED access to the 'net -- what do we have to do in return? Well, "sys-admin"-ing is part of it (thus turning this into a "Dev/Admin-SIG") as they run their own website from an on-site linux system (running Gentoo) -- PREVIOUSLY the actual "box" was located at the home of one of the librarians and ran off of her DSL; as of this year they've moved the box to be "on-site", though with a recent DSL outage at the library, they are concerned and/or considering co-lo hosting
