[SGVLUG] OT: Anyone got a DTV converter recommendation?

The only distinguishing feature that I noted were DTV boxes that had “passthru” mode.  This would allow the analog signals to your TV when the DTV unit was shut off.   That won't matter much in a few weeks.

I do not recall seeing much difference in the boxes when I looked for a
digital converter box, nor did I see much choice either. I cannot see what
special features would differentiate them aside from price...

Do be warned though, some of them have a reputation for running quite hot!
