It's worth noting that the major problem here is the collusion, not the
overcharging for text messaging per se. In practice, over charging for
text messaging means that those of us who don't use SMS a lot see
reduced rates for voice and data services. It's like the difference
between hotels that are all inclusive vs. other hotels that charge you
for all kinds of things that cost them almost nothing to provide guests:
if you don't use the extras, the net effect is a cost savings for you.
