[SGVLUG] Best Remote Desktop Solution

I've been attempting to use the "built in" Kfrb and Krdc options on KUbuntu, and although I have the correct IP address in the 192.168.100.x range of the server machine, after entering the correct password, I get a plain blue screen on the client side...not what is displayed on the server side.  Does anyone have recommendations for a more "bug free" and easy to use solution?
