Mention of "database" in the Subject: pushed this into my "deferred
reading" queue. The closest I come to anything "database" is that I
built my email white list processor upon Berkeley DB2.

If they're duplicate lines, Wyble's "uniq" solution will work. But I
suspect that you knew this. So you're not telling enough about the
format. Can you post a sample?

Some folks cherish the freedom to read the computer programs that they
use. Such a person is rightfully offended when asked to give up this
freedom, as necessary to render a document in some proprietary format.

Convert a Microsoft Word document to an open standard before posting.
