*I did initially have some confusion going from KDE 3 to KDE4 while
installing openSUSE 11.1. I like KDE and am one of those that always
wants the lastest version. I just kept telling the Software Updater to
get KDE 4 things and it took care of making everything match. The
everyday patches/updates Update module seems to work pretty well in SUSE
11.1.

I will say I do NOT care for the Plasma Workspace on the KDE 4 Desktop.
The widgets get in the way and dont do much. I think some of the KDEs
got OS X envy. They also changed the Desktop folder to be unusable
directly as a file system. Desktop objects are no longer files but icons
that don not show up in a file manager. You can no longer drop a file on
the desktop as a file, nor Drag&Drop a Desktop icon, nor Right-Click to
"Open With" or Copy. They really took a huge step backwards with this
Plasma Desktop.
