[SGVLUG] "The Open Road: a History of Free Software"

Some time back [june 2005, from what I gather from my search] a magazine
called "Software Development" included a fold-out poster with "A History
of Free Software" on one side [and an ad for IBM's rational software
development environment on the other]

The timeline starts a good ways back -- 835, in fact, with the note that
"Emperor Wen-tsing prohibits private publication of almanacs" and runs
through 2005's tiff between Linus and the BitKeeper crowd and posits
that "Git" may become "the next great open source contribution"...
