How's the SQL performance on Dreamhost. My biggest gripe with my current provider (Globat... aka Glob-crap) is that SQL runs like a dog. Even though they say it is running fine my performance dropped like a rock after about 13 months of service with them. So I am looking to move.

We've been really happy with A2 (www.a2hosting.com), who offer a full
Linux-based environment, optional reasonably-priced virtual server
hosting, and quite a few services for the dollar. They've been
reliable, speedy, and generally helpful.
We had sites hosted with Pair in the past, who were fine, but their
network connection seemed a bit pokey and fiddly at times: it wasn't
unusual for it to take a couple tries to get to my wife's website.
We've never had that problem since we moved to A2.
