You also may need to set the hardware clock using the hwclock command.
It's best to have the hwclock in UTC so that daylight savings shifts
are automatic. Use zdump -v /etc/localtime | grep Mar
to see the dates for going on and off daylight savings time. Or you
could just grep 2007. On my PC it only tells what to do until 2037
when time ends for Linux (the count can't go higher). There will
hopefully be a satisfactory fix for this.
