All speaker and exhibitor slots for SCALE5x are now full. In addition, 
The Linux Expo of Southern California has announced two 
mini-conferences in conjunction with SCALE 5x:

Women In Open Source

The goal of this event is to encourage women to use technology, open 
source and free software, and to explore the obstacles that women face 
in breaking into the technology industry. For more information on the

The Open Source Health Care Summit

The Open Source Health Care summit will focus on the use of open-source 
software in the health care industry. The goal of this event is to 
foster an awareness of the availability of open-source options to 
medical organizations, private practices, and hospitals. For more

Both mini-conferences are on Friday February 9, 2007 at the Westin LAX 
hotel.

The Expo has arranged for an electronics recycling company to be at the 
Westin LAX during the Expo. Attendees will be able to dispose of 
electronic equipment for free on both Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m to 
3 p.m. in the Westin LAX parking lot.

The Earlybird ticket price is $60 for full admission with a $30 
admission for students with valid ID. Prices go up Jan 24th, so register

SCALE will be February 9-11, 2007, at The Westin Los Angeles Airport.
