[SGVLUG] GPL and CPL

Hello,

I am researching about OpenLaszlo(http://www.openlaszlo.org/) for RIA  
development and am curious about the CPL license that is it uses.

Does anyone know why they didn't choose the GPL? Should I be concerned?
What are the major differences between the GPL and CPL?
I was reading that the CPL allows for proprietary software to be made  
with the software, but any developments to OpenLazslo must also be  
CPL...
